Vijay Parimoo (US Citizen)

Mr. Vijay Parimoo is an Indian born US Citizen business executive managing large global corporations for over 40 years in financial, insurance and pharmaceutical sectors. Vijay graduated Summa Cum Laude and Gold Medalist from National Institute of Technology, Srinagar (Kashmir) in 1982. Vijay holds a Masters degree in technology and business administration from New York University and NYIT. Vijay was born in Kashmir and has an extended family and  continues to stay in touch with his roots throughout. Vijay has invested in and managed multiple businesses from technology, investment banking and large scale Residential real estate these endeavors provided him an opportunity to travel over 30 countries in the world and experience their unique culture.

Vijay comes from humble beginnings with his father as a High school teacher, and mentor to many disadvantaged children. Vijay spends much of his time now in philanthropic engagements serving his community mostly through Kashmiri overseas Association, USA which sponsors children through education funds. Vijay is an avid sports person and athlete and spends his time working as a volunteer EMT,  and a referee in tennis and soccer.

Mrs. Shikha Wadhwa

Shikha Wadhwa, aged 66 years is an Indian living in New Delhi. She has doneMasters degree in Community Management from Lady Irwin College, Delhi in the year 1984 (Got 2nd position in Delhi University). She was a senior lecturer in Lady Irwin College from 1984 to 1993. She joined UNICEF, India in 1993and was Programmeand Policy Manager in UNICEF,  Jaipur till 2010. She was one of the first woman to reach to NOD level in UNICEF. Her main areas of work in UNICEF were advocacy for child/women rights and social policy specialist. She was Admin specialist in UNICEF, Delhi (All India).

Mrs.Shikha is having a rich experience of about 28 years in UNICEF and a detailed knowledge of their global programmes and their implementation in India, a world’s largest democracy. She has a thorough understanding of development programmes of UNICEF i.e rights and results based programmes, equity, gender and governance issues and development of women’s policy, child and population policy formulation in the state of Rajasthan, West Benegal, Haryana, J&K, Delhi (Slums). She is an admirer of the mission of Adunik Navdurga Educational Trust.
